Description

Is a stunning glacial lake located within Huascarán National Park, renowned for its striking turquoise color and surrounded by majestic mountains.

Schedule: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Highest altitude: 4,250 m (13,943 ft).
Group Size: 2 to 12 people.
Requirements: Must be in good physical condition for trekking at high altitudes

DAY 01: HUARAZ - LAGUNA SHALLAP - HUARAZ

  • 8:00 AM – Tour Departure
    We begin the adventure with a hotel pickup in Huaraz. Once everyone is on board, we drive to the trailhead at Jancu.
  • 10:00 AM – Start of the Hike
    The hike begins along a gentle trail that follows the Shallap River. As you ascend, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, including pristine forests and views of the towering Cordillera Blanca. After about 2.5 hours, you’ll reach the stunning Laguna Shallap, known for its vibrant turquoise waters and serene setting beneath snow-capped peaks.
  • 12:30 PM – Exploration and Rest
    Spend time exploring the area, taking photographs, and enjoying a peaceful moment by the lake. Soak in the beauty of the surrounding glaciers and towering mountains. If desired, enjoy your packed snacks or lunch while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
  • 2:00 PM – Begin the Descent
    We start our return trek, retracing the same scenic route. The descent takes approximately 2 hours.
  • 4:30 PM – Return to Huaraz
    Our transport will be waiting at the trailhead to take you back to Huaraz, where we conclude the tour at approximately 5:30 PM.
