Description

This hike not only allows you to acclimatize to higher altitudes but also immerses you in the natural beauty of the area, away from the crowds typically found at more popular tourist spots.

Highest altitude: 4,271 m (14,013 ft)
Group Size: 2 to 12 people.
Requirements: Must be in good physical condition for trekking at high altitudes

DAY 01: HUARAZ - LAGUNA RAJUCOLTA - HUARAZ

  • 8:00 AM – Tour Departure
  • We pick you up from your hotel in Huaraz and head towards the trailhead for Laguna Rajucolta. The drive takes you through picturesque Andean villages and lush valleys, offering a glimpse of local life and breathtaking views.
  • 9:30 AM – Start of the Hike
    The hike begins with a gentle ascent along a wide path following the Rajucolta River. This peaceful trail allows you to fully immerse yourself in nature, with views of grazing animals, highland vegetation, and the imposing snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.
  • 12:00 PM – Arrival at Laguna Rajucolta
    Reach the serene turquoise waters of Laguna Rajucolta, nestled at the base of the majestic Nevado Huantsán. Take time to relax, enjoy a snack, and capture the tranquility of this hidden gem far from the crowds.
  • 1:00 PM – Begin the Descent
    After enjoying the stunning scenery, we begin our descent along the same route, taking in the peaceful surroundings as we make our way back to the trailhead.
  • 3:30 PM – Return to Huaraz
    Our transport will be waiting to take you back to Huaraz, concluding the tour at approximately 5:30 PM.
